Oof, it's been a long time since I last blogged. I have a TON of sessions to catch up on, so be prepared for some serious blog overload.
If you've been following my work at all over the past couple of years then you'll recognize this family that I absolutely adore. I've been photographing them for over 5 years now, way before that sweet cherub in the blue striped sweatshirt (who just so happens to be my Godson) was even a twinkle in the eye.
I always love the opportunity to photograph this family because they are always up for something completely different than what we've done before. We've done parks, downtown urban, industrial, and now beach! Each new session is my favorite and I absolutely adore watching Jenni's blog to see how she'll decorate with the new photos.
I feel like I should start with an apology for how many pictures this post has... actually, scratch that, I'm not apologizing. This was an amazing session, and I LOVE all the pictures we came away with! And I kindly culled out another dozen that didn't make the "blog cut" anyway. BTW, this was booked as a mini session, so if you've been questioning whether or not a mini session is worth it, let me just say, it is. I promise a minimum of 5 images... clearly I deliver far more than that ;)
I've known the King family for a handful of years, and one of my first family sessions in Portland was even before Davis (that handsome little guy in the adorable beanie) was here to grace us all with his amazing dimples. I adore this family and when they showed up for their session in yellows, grays and blacks I was SO EXCITED! It was a cold and rainy morning in November, and the pop of yellow was such a perfect accent to the wet rusts of fall. Yvonne (mom) is an interior designer and worked many years as a merchandise/fashion buyer, so her tastes in family fashion were unsurprisingly perfect.
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as we do, and be sure to read a few pictures down about which image is mom's favorite and why.
